A versatile solution that adapts to any space. Thanks to the load-bearing structure in the rear posts, the shelters can be installed without side panels. The modular system allows for the construction of a shelter with any number of modules. Water drainage is provided by a gutter system. A choice of several types of safety infills is available.

  • Modular steel structure with vertical glazing without horizontal glass divisions. The base of the structure is a thick-walled steel tube with a diameter of 102 mm. The roof is drained by a collector and EPDM hose downpipes leading through the rear tubes above the surface. The roof, made of 70 mm diameter tubes, is reinforced with 40 mm diameter cross tubes. Static assessment for snow load zone 2 is available for the structure. When the module width is reduced to 1.36 m, it meets the requirements for snow load zone 3. Vertical infills - 10 mm thick toughened safety glass, 10 mm thick unbreakable solid polycarbonate, or 8 mm thick HPL board. Vertical infill decals - standard safety print (central vertical stripes); full-surface decals or direct printing on glass with ceramic inks featuring any motif are available upon request. Flat roof with a rearward slope, drained by downpipes above the paving leading through the rear posts. Roof infills - standard 10 mm thick milky twin-wall polycarbonate; 10 mm thick milky toughened laminated safety glass is available upon request. 30 mm thick acacia wood bench slats. Durable EPDM rubber seals and stainless steel fasteners.

Product features

Safety verified by structural assessment

The Tubo shelter features such a robust design that the roof does not require front support posts. For easy access, the shelter can be left without side panels while maintaining full safety. With a standard post spacing of 1500 mm, the shelter meets structural requirements for snow load zone 2, ensuring passenger safety with up to 80 cm of fresh snow or 20 cm of wet snow. The overall load-bearing capacity can be further increased by reducing the standard width.

‍

Water drainage

The gutter system with downpipes integrated into the rear uprights provides an ingenious solution for drainage. Passengers no longer need to worry about water splashing down from the roof.

Safe infill panels

  • 10 mm toughened safety glass - this thickness is difficult to break, and should it happen, the glass shatters into small, blunt fragments.
  • 10 mm unbreakable solid polycarbonate - makes the shelter virtually indestructible. The polycarbonate features an anti-graffiti coating, making it easy to clean off spray paint.
  • 8 mm HPL panel - opaque material

‍

Full-surface print

It is also important to consider protecting birds from collisions with glass. For this reason, glass can be fitted with a full-surface print.

Bench or backrest

The shelter comes as standard with a bench featuring a backrest, spanning the width of one module. The seat is mounted to the rear upright to make cleaning the shelter easy. However, the bench can be replaced with a wooden backrest, or the two can be combined within a single shelter. A full-width backrest not only increases passenger comfort but, more importantly, prevents people from leaning against the rear panel.

Edit

Most of our products are made from acacia wood, which is highly durable and requires no regular maintenance. The wood can be left untreated and allowed to weather to a natural grey finish.

If you decide to apply a finish to the wood, you will increase its protection against dirt and grease and extend its lifespan. However, you should be prepared for regular, usually annual, maintenance. This is not complicated – simply sand the surface lightly, clean it, and apply a new coat with a brush.

If you want to avoid regular maintenance, we recommend leaving the wood untreated. An unmaintained finish will eventually start to wear unevenly, which can make the wood look unsightly. Conversely, naturally weathered acacia wood retains its characteristic appearance without the need for regular painting.

Yes, all our products can be ordered with installation included. When you place your order, we will also provide you with an estimated installation date.

We recommend planning the preparation of concrete foundations well in advance to ensure proper anchoring of the products and to allow the concrete to cure sufficiently before our installation team arrives. Please prepare the foundations according to the "Installation Drawing", which you can download from our website or obtain from our sales representatives.
