Spirit bench

No items found.

The primary element of the Spirit bench is an equilateral triangle. This forms the seat of the base as well as its side walls. By imaginatively connecting these identical triangles in a row, a trapezoid is created as a connecting seat between two bases.

  • Smooth concrete bases
  • Connecting structure welded from steel
  • 40 mm thick tropical hardwood slats. (This is the only bench we manufacture using tropical hardwood. All other benches are made from acacia or oak sourced from our European forests.)

Tropical wood

The concrete is treated with a repellent penetration coating.

The steel is hot-dip galvanised on both sides (in accordance with ČSN EN ISO 1461), and the surface is mechanically cleaned before being finished with a powder coating in a shade of your choice from the RAL colour chart.

Wood available in two variants – oil-treated or untreated.

Larger configurations do not require anchoring.

For smaller configurations, anchoring into a concrete foundation using threaded rods and chemical anchors (one M12 anchoring set per base)

All street furniture must be anchored according to the manufacturer's instructions. The manufacturer is not liable for any tipping of incorrectly anchored products or related damage.

Demonstration of how to arrange bench configurations on a triangular grid

By combining triangular concrete bases and trapezoidal seats, you can create a wide variety of configurations.

Concrete and wood on the Spirit bench

The base consists of a smooth concrete plinth. This concrete base is topped with a wooden seat. Trapezoidal wooden seats can be inserted between the concrete bases. These can branch out from the concrete base in one, two, or three directions and connect to another concrete plinth.

Trapezoidal seat in three lengths

The Spirit bench triangle has a side length of 500 mm. The image shows how the triangles can be arranged on the trapezoidal seat, which is available in three lengths: 1000, 1500 and 2000 mm.

Bench or planter

The concrete base can be fitted with a seat or used as a planter. The planter can be integrated into the bench, or multiple concrete units can be joined together to create custom planter arrangements.

Edit

Most of our products are made from acacia wood, which is highly durable and requires no regular maintenance. The wood can be left untreated and allowed to weather to a natural grey finish.

If you decide to apply a finish to the wood, you will increase its protection against dirt and grease and extend its lifespan. However, you should be prepared for regular, usually annual, maintenance. This is not complicated – simply sand the surface lightly, clean it, and apply a new coat with a brush.

If you want to avoid regular maintenance, we recommend leaving the wood untreated. An unmaintained finish will eventually start to wear unevenly, which can make the wood look unsightly. Conversely, naturally weathered acacia wood retains its characteristic appearance without the need for regular painting.

Yes, all our products can be ordered with installation included. When you place your order, we will also provide you with an estimated installation date.

We recommend planning the preparation of concrete foundations well in advance to ensure proper anchoring of the products and to allow the concrete to cure sufficiently before our installation team arrives. Please prepare the foundations according to the "Installation Drawing", which you can download from our website or obtain from our sales representatives.
