Assembling the History information system

For every assembly, you must first determine how many levels of signposts are required. The post length is then selected to maintain a clearance height of 2.5 m. Each level can hold a maximum of 2 signposts. Signposts are attached to a collar that slides onto the post. The collar is either full or half-size. Choose a full collar if there will only be one signpost at that level. If you want 2 signposts, use half-collars. This allows you to place 2 collars one above the other while keeping both signposts at the same height. If you anticipate adding more levels to the assembly in the future, it is advisable to include empty collars or half-collars without signposts to reserve space for additional levels.

‍

Ornamental cast-iron posts

The cast-iron bases of the posts also add a historical look to the signposts. However, as these ornamental posts are not suitable for every location, we also offer classic smooth posts for our History signposts.

Centre mounting

History directional signs can also be centre-mounted from the rear, allowing them to be attached to street lighting columns.

Edit

Most of our products are made from acacia wood, which is highly durable and requires no regular maintenance. The wood can be left untreated and allowed to weather to a natural grey finish.

If you decide to apply a finish to the wood, you will increase its protection against dirt and grease and extend its lifespan. However, you should be prepared for regular, usually annual, maintenance. This is not complicated – simply sand the surface lightly, clean it, and apply a new coat with a brush.

If you want to avoid regular maintenance, we recommend leaving the wood untreated. An unmaintained finish will eventually start to wear unevenly, which can make the wood look unsightly. Conversely, naturally weathered acacia wood retains its characteristic appearance without the need for regular painting.

Yes, all our products can be ordered with installation included. When you place your order, we will also provide you with an estimated installation date.

We recommend planning the preparation of concrete foundations well in advance to ensure proper anchoring of the products and to allow the concrete to cure sufficiently before our installation team arrives. Please prepare the foundations according to the "Installation Drawing", which you can download from our website or obtain from our sales representatives.
